Ever since I got my new digicam a couple weeks ago, I've been on the lookout for interesting subjects to try out the macro mode: flowers, butterflies, the usual stuff. I started to go through the world with imaginary picture frames in front of my eyes.
Then I realised that spiders look pretty interesting, while mostly staying still, waiting for their prey to get tangled in their web. Cool! Soon I was taking pictures of spiders whenever I got the chance. My first reaction upon seeing an arachnid became "Where's my camera?", replacing the original "OMG, spider! Run. RUN!"
There's a picture under the cut of one of the first macro shots that actually turned out pretty decently.
