Because it took me entirely too long to figure this out, I'll post it here in the hopes that the next person with the same problem might find the solution sooner:
When you upgrade to Safari 3 (public beta) on a Mac (I'm on a MacBook with OS X 10.4.10), and you have to refresh every other page several times because you only get blank pages or the pages don't change when you click on links: It's Stand for Safari. Disable Site Alteration, and you should be fine.
P.S.: Apparently there are people who actually read this blog. I know, you wouldn't guess so by the number of comments I'm getting, but several people have mentioned this blog to me in e-mails or in person lately, so I know you're out there!
It's ok to comment here anonymously, if you don't have an LJ account. Open ID also works. Just click on "make me happy" if you want to leave a comment. German or English is fine, and I can decipher simple French and Spanish. :)

I watched Accepted today, a funny little movie about a guy who doesn't get accepted to college and starts his own fake college to get his parents off his back.
When I see the main character I go: "I've seen him before!" So I look him up on imdb.com and see Galaxy Quest. Yeah, right, he played the geeky Star Trek fan there, I remember him. But a small voice in the back of my head keeps nagging me throughout the movie that I should remember him from somewhere else.
So when the movie is over, I take a closer look at the imdb listing, and there it is: he's the "I'm a Mac" guy! D'oh.
