Oh, how I love being lurking in a fandom where even the book reviews can move me so they make me cry.
bookshop has written an obnoxiously long review, and if you've finished the book and like meta, you should go read it.
Also, whenever I read about a scene in book 7, I get confused and go "But I haven't watched the movie yet!" See, it's all so vivid in my head as if I had, ideed, watched a movie already. And that hasn't happened to me for quite a while, and it makes me incredibly happy and yearning for more great books.

We went to see OOTP tonight, and it was nice. I thought I'd have a harder time with the fugly haircut, but it was okay, really. And I'm in love with Luna now. Evanna Lynch did such a good job! Unlike Emma Watson, how rushed through some of her lines so fast it made me dizzy.
Helena Bonham Carter was great as ever, still one of my favorite actors. And I never realized Trelawney is played by Emma Thompson! D'oh.
We saw a trailer for Stardust, yay! And a trailer for the movie they made of one of the Pullman books. I think I caught a glimpse of Derek Jacobi (who played the Master in a recent episode of Doctor Who), but they didn't credit him and IMDB doesn't list him either. Yet?
Anyway, I liked Pullman's Dark Materials, but wasn't enthusiastic about them. Too long-winded, too convoluted in the end. But the trailer looked interesting, so I'll probably go watch it.
